Customer may cancel their car hire or carpool reservations through safari Booking and car hire site, and the cancellation is effective immediately. To determine whether the customer received a full refund, a partial refund, or receives no refund depends on the circumstances. The total amount refunded will depend on when the customer cancels the car hire or carpool reservations, the length of the reservation, and the rental type. The cancellation time is determined by the time zone of the country where the vehicle is located and not the current location of the customer.
Booking or reservations made 25 hours or more before the pickup or delivery date: there will be Full refund should the booking be cancelled 24 hours before picking up or delivery time or start of the trip: Customers may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before their carpool trip starts, or car hire pick up time.
Booking or reservations made less than 24 hours to the pickup or delivery time: there will be a Full refund should the booking be cancelled 2 hours after the booking and receiving confirmation from the host: Customers who book within 24 hours of their trip have two hours after booking to cancel for free.
Customer will receive full refund on pick up or delivery date should the host deliver a different vehicle which was not listed on the Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH site and the customer does not accept the alternative vehicle presented at the pickup or delivery time. We at Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH understand that vehicles might develop mechanical issues before pick up or delivery date and therefore permit host to provide alternative vehicle of same standard as listed on the platform.
Customer will receive full refund on pick up or delivery date should the host deliver a vehicle that is not in good working condition at the pickup time. Customer has the obligation to inspect the vehicle during the pickup time. And immediately notify support at Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH of the incident.
Trip modifications
If a customer requests a booking modification or amendment and the host accepts, that modification does not reset the free cancellation period for the trip. It remains tied to the original booking time.
Cancellations outside the free period
If a customer wants to cancel a booked reservation for car hire or carpool, we encourage them to notify the host and support at Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH as soon as possible and to process the cancellation themselves through the Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH site. We’ll issue a partial refund to guests who cancel in this manner and do not fall within the free cancellation period. For canceled bookings that are longer than one day, Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH will charge the customer the cost of one day car hire associated with one day’s cost of hire. We’ll refund to the customer the remaining amount collected for the reservation.
Customer no-show
If a customer fails to cancel and doesn’t show up for the carpool trip within 20 minutes of the scheduled pick up time, and for car hire withing 1 hour of delivery or pickup time, it’s considered as a customer no-show. If a customer has booked a car hire in a Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH, has not canceled their booking and reservation, and does not show up for 1 hour after the car hire scheduled start time, it’s a customer no-show.
If a customer has booked a carpool in a Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH, has not canceled their booking and reservation, and does not show up for 20 minutes after the carpool scheduled start time, it’s a customer no-show.
A customer (self-drive customer) who shows up to a pickup location with no driving license, with an expired driving license, No identification card, or who sends their additional driver in their place is also a customer no-show. (only customers who have registered account on Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH, are permitted to collect the vehicle, the host has right to refuse to deliver the car to a different customer picking the vehicle on behalf of the registered customer) or the host will cancel customer no-show trips, and we’ll issue the customer a partial refund.
For no-show bookings that are longer than one day, Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH, will charge the customer the cost of one day car hire. We’ll refund to the customer the remaining amount collected for the reservation. For car hire booking that is one day, No refund will be made and the entire one days cost will be used to cover cancellation fees.
Cancellation during the trip
Customer will have a right to receive partial refund should the car break down or get involved in an accident during the rental period, host will be subjected to replace the vehicle or repair the car. Should there be no alternative and customer is willing to cancel mid trip. There will be a partial refund calculated on the number of days already used and a refund will be made based on the remaining number of rental days not used.
Exceptions to the customers refund amounts for cancellations outside the free period and for no-shows may apply in the event of a flight delay, flight cancellation, lost baggage issue. The customer will have to provide evidence or proof to be considered for this exemption.
There are no refunds issued for early car returns except when the customer has submitted a trip modification request to shorten their trip, and the host has accepted the request. Early car returns must be communicated to the host 24 hours prior to return and approval from the host will guarantee a refund. This communication must be made through the chart thread for the SBACH representative to review refund when necessary.
If a host cancels a customer’s booking or is a no-show, the host hasn't canceled and doesn’t show up within 1 hour of the scheduled pick-up time Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH, will refund the customer in full amount. Funds from the canceled or no-show bookings will be refunded immediately to the customer’s wallet in order to book alternative vehicle.
Customer changing Destination.
The Host has a right to cancel customer trips during the rental period with no refund given to the customer when the customer destination is different from the one listed during signing the rental contract. Changing destinations during the trip will require permission from the host, and approval must be granted by the host before changing your destination. For example, during rental requests and signing contracts, host will need to know your trip destinations. The destination listed on the car rental contract must be the same as where the vehicle will be driven to. This is to avoid driving 2-wheel cars off road where 4x4 cars are meant to drive or driving to region where host is considering as security risk areas and much more.
Customer not permitted to cross country border.
No refund will be issued to the customer by the host when the customer tries or crosses the border to another country when the car rental contract does not permit crossing border with the rental car. Host will cancel your trip, and no refund will be issued.
Customer involved in illegal or criminal activity.
No refund will be issued to the customer by the host when the customer uses the vehicle in illegal or criminal activities or ferrying drugs or illegal items. The host has a right to repossess and cancel your trip during rental period.
If a host wants to cancel a booked car hire or carpool ride, we encourage them to notify the customer as soon as possible. The cancellation is effective immediately, and the customer receives a complete refund in their wallet.
Host cancellation of car hire or carpool within 2 hours of claiming a booking, there will be no cancellation penalty no matter how long until the job starts.
Otherwise:
Car Hire Hosts will be subject to a $30 penalty fee if they cancel a car hire booking less than 24 hours before the start of the trip.
Carpool drivers will be subject to a $15 penalty fee if they cancel a carpool booking less than 24 hours before the start of the trip.
Car hire Hosts will be subject to a $20 penalty fee if they cancel a car hire booking more than 24 hours before the start of the trip.
Carpool Driver will be subject to a $10 penalty fee if they cancel a carpool booking more than 24 hours before the start of the trip.
Car Hire Host will be subjected to a $ 40 penalty fee if they fail to show up for car hire bookings or cancel booking after scheduled start time.
Carpool driver will be subjected to a $ 20 penalty fee if they fail to show up for carpool bookings or cancel booking after scheduled start time
Hosts who repeatedly cancel booked car hire or carpool reservations may be subjected to additional penalties, including suspension or removal from Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH, platform.
Cancellation penalty fees owed by the host will be deducted from their next payout.
No refunds for cancellation of approved listing for cars for sale and Safari Bookings adverts.
Once the listing created by the host, has been published on Safari Booking And Car Hire – SBACH, platform and its live on the site, there will be no refund made to host/company. The advertisement fees are for the final sale.
